Rachel Faro is an accomplished singer, songwriter and record producer.  She has recorded two classic albums for RCA, 'Refugees' and 'Rachel Faro'; her most recent release, 'Windsong', appearing on Vermont's Silverwolf Records.  As a singer and poet her lyrics, set in classic country folk pop compositions, reveal sources as diverse as ancient Chinese poetry, Cuban and Native American gods and spirits, the politics of India and the fall of the stock market.  

She is also a well-known producer of Cuban, Latin, Jazz, blues, folk and world music, producing over thirty albums of which three have received Grammy Nominations.  She has produced artists such as Odetta, Chris Chandler, Paul Millns (of Pentangle), Eddie Palmieri, Vocal Sampling, Sammy Figueroa and Yomo Toro and is the founder and president of Ashe Records, a ground-breaking world music record label.  She is also the proud mother of singer/songwriter Anandi and the director and founder of the Miami Shambhala Meditation Group.
